A Fun, Interactive, and Educational Experience for the Whole Family
Located on the serene East End of Grand Cayman, the Cayman Parrot Sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, encounter native wildlife, and enjoy a day of adventure suitable for all ages.
Step into this vibrant sanctuary and come face-to-face with Cayman’s national bird, the Cayman Parrot—a colorful and intelligent species found nowhere else in the world. The sanctuary is also home to a delightful variety of animals including agoutis, rabbits, guinea pigs, cockatiels, and reptiles, all living in beautifully maintained natural enclosures.
Families can feed the magnificent frigate birds that swoop down from the nearby coast, or watch as children enjoy the two exciting playgrounds, relax in the shaded seating area, and experience the thrill of the zip line—a highlight for young adventurers!
Beyond its fun, family-friendly appeal, the Cayman Parrot Sanctuary plays a vital role in wildlife preservation. In partnership with the Cayman Islands Department of Environment, it serves as a registered rehabilitation facility for injured or displaced parrots. Since opening in June 2020, the sanctuary has successfully rehabilitated and released more than 30 Cayman Parrots back into the wild, making it the only facility on the island dedicated to this important mission.
