Overview

Discover the Natural Beauty, History, and Heritage of Grand Cayman’s East Side

Your journey begins with a scenic drive through George Town, the island’s capital and financial hub, where modern architecture blends with historic Caribbean charm. From there, we travel along the picturesque South Sound coastal district, known for its elegant seaside residences and beautiful ocean views.

Our first major stop is Pedro St. James Castle, affectionately known as Pedro Castle. Built in 1780, this beautifully restored plantation home is the oldest standing building in Grand Cayman and holds deep historical significance as the “Birthplace of Democracy” in the Cayman Islands. Here, you’ll enjoy a multimedia theatre presentation that brings the island’s history vividly to life.

The tour continues with a visit to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Park, a tranquil haven showcasing Cayman’s vibrant native flora and fauna. Wander through nature trails and wetlands, admire blooming tropical plants, and keep an eye out for the endangered Cayman Parrot and the Cayman Blue Iguana, both protected species that call the park home.

Next, we stop at the East End Blow Holes, a dramatic natural attraction where seawater bursts powerfully through rugged rock formations — a perfect photo opportunity and a stunning display of Cayman’s raw coastal beauty.

Before returning, we visit the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, home of the island’s world-famous rum cakes. Learn how these beloved Caribbean treats are made, sample a variety of flavors, and pick up delicious souvenirs to take home.
